Methodic Circus is an indie filmmaking group based in the Bay Area. It was formed in 2020 during the pandemic by actors, William Henry Scott and Vincent Nastrini, who felt frustrated over the lack of character roles available. They decided to take matters into their own hands by writing their own scripts, one of them being "Common Cowardice."
During pre-production, the group expanded, adding members Marlena Eckel, Gloria Stanley, and Clarisse Bautista to help make their projects a reality. Eventually, Methodic Circus expanded to include the rest of the members of our crew (Cristian Villagran, Emi Ray, Nataly Breisath, & Theodore J. Reid).
We hope to continue to share our stories to the world through narrative film and content creation!
We are an indie filmmaking group based in the Bay Area with a focus in creating narrative short films and content creation.
No, we are not talent managers or casting agents. Just a few misfits creating art!
We always love working with new actors and crew members! If we ever need talent or crew, we will post casting and crew calls on our social media pages.
If you are part of our super awesome and cool Parade community, you get early access!
If Methodic Parade just isn't for you (though we'd love for you to join the fun) then follow us on our socials to learn about our future projects! Links are at the bottom of the page.
The Parade is a community-based group under the Methodic Circus umbrella. It consists of filmmakers and talent from the Bay Area. We intend for members, or "Parade-goers," to meet, network, and collaborate with one another.
Another group under the Methodic Circus umbrella is our Core Group. This group of dedicated creatives work behind the scenes to make sure Methodic Circus as a whole keeps chugging along. It's a lot of hard work but we do it because we want to make art and contribute to the artistic community in the Bay!
Though we love having creative minds involved in our projects, being a Core Group member requires a high level of dedication. All behind the scenes duties such as selecting projects, pre-production, admin and financial tasks, etc. are unpaid (think interning for ourselves so we have to get our own coffee 😢). All potential members MUST be current Parade members as well.

Yes! We pride ourselves in having members from all walks of life! Our current Core Group contains a majority of underrepresented groups in film (BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+).
